Ron (Sonny) Golden, is a seasoned construction manager with a career spanning over 30 years in the commercial design and construction management field.
He has built and renovated over 100 travel plazas in over 35 states including restaurants, both full serve and fast food, c-stores, pump/tank, lube shops, retail facilities, motels and has now added to his resume commercial banks. Ron was the SVP of construction for Sun American Bank in South Florida.
Ron's career started in Nashville Tennessee in the mid 70's with Truck Stops of America as a Construction Manager. It wasn't long until he was promoted to Director of Design/Construction. Ron held that position until the early 90'S when T/A sold to BP.
Phil Saunders founder of T/A, asked Ron to join him as VP of Construction for another startup company, Travel Ports of America. As VP of Construction, Ron directed construction operations throughout the Northeast corridor until the time when Phil sold Travel Ports of America to his old company Travel Centers of America.
Ron Golden handles the responsibilities for all phases of construction administration, budgeting, conceptual design, purchasing, bidding process, permitting, ensuring project construction and conformance with architectural plans and specifications.
He acts as the liaison between Federal, State, and Local Building officials, along with the architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, owners and managers.
In 2001, Sonny, as his friends now call him, decided to take his highly organized, and self-motivated management skills and put them to use in the private sector of the Commercial Construction Management field. Golden Eagle Management, LLC designs and renovates Travel Plaza's West of the Mississippi for the past 10 years and to this day.
After traveling thousands of miles, coast to coast, over our beautiful country both by air and land, he has chosen to base himself in the beautiful scenic Sangre Cristo Mountains of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
